Ooh, this paper’s really annoying. They keep referring to this one book all the time: how am I supposed to write down my own version of this stuff when they don’t give the details? Maybe I’ll go to the library and hunt down the book.
Despite my best efforts, the Advisor sees me. Hears of the book, comments that by his recall it is a collection of lecture notes written with a typewriter imitating dead spiders. Wishes me luck.
Book found and lent. Very yellowed and forbidding. For some reason the back flap calls it the property of a Birkbeck College.
Oh. It’s “withdrawn”. And guess couldn’t snitch on the book-taker anyway. Seems some time after last lending date, 12.11.84, the book took a leap from somewhere into Finland.
Hmm. A Birkbeck College has a net site. Some school in England. Oh yeah. Uh hum. Really interesting.
Hm, press release about research. “Birkbeck researcher finds that children with Autism Spectrum Disorder are not susceptible to contagious yawning”. Might be a very useful result, but sounds so silly. I wonder how much elation for parents of autistic kiddos. Hey boy, your friends might call you an emotionless woah-woah, but you’ll never feel that nasty yawn-urge! Aintcha lucky!
Ooh. Feel so bad for thinking that. Deep question, where balance between rude, forthright. Um, was supposed to be working?
Ooh. Another blog post written. Time to call it quits for today. No sense burning candle from both ends unless you an experimental physicist. Then dying of stress the best thing for you.
Feel strange linguistic faculty decrease. Go eat something. Bye.
