The news story is of course a sad example of one man’s derangement, but the BBC headline is funny.

Namely, “Dutch fury at US general’s gay theory over Srebrenica“.

Instinctive questions:

1) “Dutch fury”? Is this similar to Dutch courage?

2) What, so news organizations use the slang of 14-year-olds now? What next, “This is BBC Worldwide News. Oh my God I just heard something that’s like so totally gay I can’t believe it”? (Then again, the best response to this general Sheehan’s theory is in youthful Internetish, too, namely a flat “What.” — possibly along with “(headdesk)”, “(facepalm)” and/or “PICS OR IT DIDN’T HAPPEN”.)
